My Coffee Addiction:

There is a very good reason that I am addicted to coffee. Did I mention that I have four children, and the fifth is my husband? My family keeps me hopping! My children have been homeschooled for the last 6 years, and with all the activities and things my children like to do, we are always on the go. We are also an ADHD family, and coffee helps to keep me focused and going when I just want to lie down during my mid-day slump.

In short, coffee keeps me going and sane.

In order to keep my coffee addiction fed each day. I use my Hamilton Beach Flexbrew coffeemaker. I love the versatility of this coffeemaker! Let me count the reasons:

1. I am able to brew coffee 3 ways!

• the carafe the old-school way by making up to a 12-cup carafe brew of coffee.

• In the single-serve option, I can brew a 6-, 8-, or 10-ounce cup of coffee using K-cups in just about 90 seconds!

• The reusable K pod lets me use any type of coffee grounds I prefer and brews a 6, 8, 10, 12, or 14-ounce cup of coffee.

1. The reservoir for the single serve holds 56 oz. of water, so I can keep making my coffee without having to refill it as often.

2. I can brew the type of coffee I prefer either in bold or regular strength (I prefer the regular strength myself).

3. The coffee pot is programable, so when I stumble to the coffee pot in the morning, the coffee is already made!

4. If I do happen to get up with the chickens or, in my case, the dogs that like to get up at the crack of dawn, the coffee pot has an auto pause and pour feature so I can fill my lonely coffee mug before the coffee pot gets done brewing.

5. There is also an auto-shut-off feature; after 2 hours, the coffee pot will shut down. This is great because I may or may not have OCD, and now I don’t have to worry if I leave the house and wonder if the coffee pot is still on.

6. Lastly, I love the duality of the coffee pot because, in reality, I am not really a morning person, but my husband is. If he gets up with the dogs in the morning, the coffee is generally hours old by the time I get up. In that case, I can use the single-serve coffee to make myself a pipping hot, freshly brewed cup of coffee.
